Dynamic MailServer Service(DMSS) :

The Dynamic Mail Server’s function is to allow direct access from the internet to a server local at a particular place for the purpose of mail delivery. This machine need not be completely dedicated for mail receiving purpose. It can be used for other purposes also. Dynamic mail server’s function allows to setup and maintain an independent SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) mail system to receive mails on port 25 using SMTP protocol. This adds the flexibility to operate any licensed mail server software and send and receive email to their own domain. Dynamic mail server functionality allows to establish a unique mail server configuration to suit their needs and demands.

The client site should have it's own domain registered - say  xyz.com. A mail machine for the site that is configured as a host in the domain xyz.com - say mailserver.xyz.com. This is the machine which is used to dial up to the internet. This machine need not be completely dedicated for mail receiving purpose. It can be used  for other purposes also. Mailserver.xyz.com has to be configured to receive mails on port 25 using SMTP protocol.

What this means is :
a) If it is a UNIX machine, then sendmail should be configured to receive and send mails. Also mail accounts(and/or aliases for routing mails to users on other machines in the same network) should be configured on this machine. Example of mail account is user@xyz.com.
b) If it is a Windows machine, then something equivalent to sendmail should be configured and mail users should be defined. mailserver.xyz.com should have a web browser.
