Ramakrishna Mission Students' Home

The Ramakrishna Mission students' Home is a charitable organisation depending on donations from the public. It gives food, clothing, shelter and education to about 350 orphans / destitute Children .

In order to sustain our activities, there are many items which are required besides financial assistance

For Donation in cash, the following details may be of help.

IT COSTS

To maintain a boy for 1 year 1. For high school student (VI - X) 2. Technical Institute 3. College Section	Rs.10,000/- Rs.13,000/- Rs.15,000/-
To feed 350 boys in the Home for one day in Mylapore	Rs.10,000/-

Donors willing to send donation in kind may find it convenient to send one or more of the following

Cloth - blue & Navy blue , Dhothies, Towels, Banians, Underwears, Mats and Bedsheets
Bath Soaps, Washing Soaps, Tooth Paste, Tooth Brushes and Coconut Oil.
Bleaching & Cleaning powders, Phenyl, Washing Powder, Insecticides and Flit.
Stationery items for students and office, Notebooks, Chalk pieces, Pens, Pencils, Erasers, Geometry Boxes Instrument Boxes, Drawing Boards, Minidrafters, Calculators, Carbon paper, Gum and paste etc.,
Rice, Pulses, Rava, Maida, Sugar and other provision, Bread, Sweets, Fruits etc.
Games and sports materials for boys.
Medicines, dressing materials, vitamin tablets & tonics.
Incense sticks, camphor, Dasangam, Vibuthi, Candy, etc. for Puja.
Articles and books for presentation.
New furniture e.g. Tables, Chairs, stools, Cupboards for replacing worn out items OR good quality timber for preparing these items. Also sleeping kits for students.
Electrical goods, bulbs, tubes, fans, flexible wire etc.

THE "HOME" started in 1905 - provides FREE lodging, boarding and Gurukula system of Education to 350 orphans/destitutes in High School, Technical Institute and Collegiate Sections in Chennai city .It is not possible to maintain its level of service due to spiralling inflation; Kind-hearted benefactors are requested to donate in cash or kind liberally.
