Since human development begins at home, isn't the home-maker a natural leader? |
Human development is central to a better quality of life. It is of course essential for the pursuit of excellence at work. But there is more to life than life at work. There is a life that begins at home, is lived at home and ends at home - a life that is not quite integrated with our present concept of work. Just as work has no quality when we don’t value life as a whole; life itself has no quality when we don’t value life at home. And life at home has no quality when we don’t value the home-makers, and even take them for granted. For, isn’t it the home-maker who absorbs your pangs of pressure when there is crisis at work? Isn’t it the home-maker who bears your guilt when life at home, perhaps sub-consciously, still functions on your parents' terms? Isn’t it the home-maker who enables your effectiveness too in the upbringing and character building of your children?
